Carrie has dedicated her life to building peace personally, professionally, academically, and wholeheartedly. She is a facilitator, educator, trainer, and mentor at the University of Michigan. Since 2007 she has been weaving webs of peace by facilitating restorative practices with students, faculty, and staff empowered and guided to pathways of peace, healing, and conflict transformation. Carrie facilitates & trains nationally on circle keeping, peacemaking through restorative practices, and conflict transformation. She is particularly known for her restorative work in situations of sexual and gender-based harms.

Carrie earned her master’s degree in dispute resolution from Wayne State University in Detroit in 2007. She has studied trauma healing, peacebuilding, and restorative justice at the Summer Peacebuilding Institute of Eastern Mennonite University’s Center for Justice and Peacebuilding in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia.
Carrie is enchanted by nature as a source of peace and healing. She is enamored with the healing properties of plants, and is a self-taught herbalist, avid gardener, nature lover, and world traveler who has studied and lived abroad in five different countries. Carrie's soul card in the Tarot is represented by The Magician.
